What is the Global Education Center?
A Global Education Center is a physical building that provides BYU-Pathway students with access to computers, free internet, social activities, spiritual connection, and more. Students who have remote jobs can also use the center's resources to fulfill those jobs.
Am I required to go to PathwayConnect gatherings?
Yes. Students should strive to attend all gatherings. The weekly gatherings are a vital component of the PathwayConnect program, where students build meaningful relationships, deepen learning, gain leadership skills, prepare for further education, and much more.
Students who are traveling and need to attend a gathering in another city should coordinate the visit through the service missionaries in the area they plan to visit.

Is there an instructor at the gatherings?
No. Instructors do not attend PathwayConnect gatherings, but service missionaries do attend each week and help students throughout their time in the program. Students may meet virtually with their online instructors during the instructor’s designated office hours.

What is the difference between a certificate, an associate degree, and a bachelor's degree?

- Certificates are made up of 13–15 credits and focus on one area of study. They’re a great way to build job-ready skills quickly.
- An associate degree requires 60 credits, including general education courses, two certificates, and religion courses.
- A bachelor’s degree includes 90–96 credits and includes three certificates along with general education and religion courses

How long is a term or block at BYU-Pathway?
Each BYU-Pathway term is called a "block," and each block lasts seven weeks. There are a total of six block starts per year. That said, if you’re wondering when you can start, the answer is always “soon!”

BYU-Pathway students should expect to dedicate approximately 3–4 hours per week per credit. This means a typical 3-credit course will require about 9–12 hours of study each week, totaling roughly 63–84 hours over a 7-week course block.
