This introductory certificate is offered by both Ensign College and BYU-Idaho, with support and resources from BYU-Pathway Worldwide.

This course introduces basic networking concepts including the OSI Model, TCP/IP, networking services and an exploration of Wide Area Networks. Explores network security concepts including authentication, authorization, and security layers. The course includes labs and assignments that require the student to demonstrate how to design networks and configure the different services correctly. The successful completion of this course will prepare the student to sit for the Network Pro certification as well as the CompTIA Network+ certification.
