Can I transfer credits toward my degree?
Yes! You may be able to transfer eligible credits from regionally accredited U.S. colleges and universities. Transfer courses must have a grade of C- or higher.
Credits from schools outside the U.S. and technical or vocational courses are not accepted.

How does the transfer credit evaluation process work?
Once you’re admitted and have access to your BYU-Pathway Portal, you can submit your official transcripts. You don't need to complete PathwayConnect first.
Your credits are formally evaluated after you declare a degree. This helps us to evaluate your previous coursework based on the requirements of your chosen degree and the applicable BYU-Idaho or Ensign College transfer rules.
Transfer evaluations typically take 30–45 days after the evaluation begins. This timeframe starts when the evaluation begins — not when your transcript is submitted or received.

Do transfer credits affect my GPA?
No. Transfer credits do not affect your BYU-Pathway GPA.
Your GPA is based on courses you take through BYU-Pathway Worldwide and its partner institutions.

Do credits from BYU-Idaho, Ensign College, or Institute of Religion count toward my degree?
Yes! If you’ve completed coursework or earned a degree from BYU-Idaho, Ensign College, or an Institute of Religion, you don’t need to submit official transcripts for those credits.
After enrolling in a certificate or degree program, submit a request through the Help Center to have your previous coursework and degrees added to your student record.
Institute courses taken for Church university credit may also fulfill religion requirements if they meet the applicable requirements.

How can I submit my transcripts for evaluation?
If you’ve completed courses or earned a degree from another U.S. college or university other than BYU-Idaho, Ensign College, or an Institute of Religion, you'll need to submit official transcripts to have your eligible credits evaluated.
All external transcripts are processed by Church Educational System (CES) Admissions Processing at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Once you’re admitted and have access to the BYU-Pathway Portal, log in to find instructions for sending your official transcripts to CES Admissions Processing.
Follow the instructions in your student portal carefully. Transcripts submitted any other way will not be accepted.
