How long is a term or block at BYU-Pathway?
Each BYU-Pathway term is called a "block," and each block lasts seven weeks. There are a total of six block starts per year. If you’re wondering when you can start, the answer is always “soon!”

Will my previously earned credits transfer and count toward a degree?
Transfer credits most often fit the requirements of general education courses. With our three-year degrees, we’ve eliminated elective credits so you can graduate faster no matter if your credits can transfer or not. How quickly can I enroll and graduate at BYU-Pathway?
Enrolling is simple! Applications are open year-round, and courses start about every 7–8 weeks. Visit the Application Process page for instructions, details, and the application deadlines for the next available block. If you apply during one block and there is no longer space available, you will automatically be admitted into the next available block.

What are the requirements to participate?
The following are requirements for admission to BYU-Pathway Worldwide:
- Be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or be willing to commit to living the CES Honor Code.
* - Be at least 16 years old (with a high school/secondary school diploma or equivalent) or age 18 and older (with or without a secondary school diploma or equivalent).
- Attend weekly gatherings (either online or in person) during the first three blocks of your degree program.
- Strive to live by the CES Honor Code. (After you complete foundational courses, an ecclesiastical endorsement is required to continue your degree.)
- Be capable of university-level academic work.
- Complete an English proficiency assessment (for non-native English speakers). If you need help improving your English skills, BYU-Pathway recommends taking EnglishConnect, a language-learning program provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Have access to a smartphone or computer with internet and webcam/video chat capabilities. All foundational courses can be accessed and completed on a mobile device. I attended previously and didn't finish. How do I return?
Visit apply.byupathway.edu to start your return process. As you go through the process, the system will automatically evaluate your past coursework and the amount of time since you last attended, then recommend the best next steps — whether that is registering for the next available block or completing a new application.
