BYU-Pathway Worldwide's fall 2026 devotional speakers

BYU-Pathway Worldwide monthly devotionals complement the student experience by fostering greater faith and discipleship in Jesus Christ. Devotionals launch on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. (UTC) / 10:00 a.m. (MT) and are available with translated voiceover and captions in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

Devotional Speakers

The upcoming devotionals will feature the following speakers and General Authorities and Officers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:

  • September 4: President Brian K. Ashton, BYU-Pathway Worldwide
  • October 2: Elder Pedro X. Larreal, General Authority Seventy
  • October 30: Timothy Q. Sloan, Vice President of Academics, Ensign College
  • November 27: Elder Gary E. Stevenson, Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Devotionals typically last 7–10 minutes and can be viewed any time after they go live on the BYU-Pathway Facebook page and later on the BYU-Pathway speeches page.

Students responsible for leading the lesson in their gathering that week will facilitate a discussion around topics shared in the devotional. All participants are invited to watch, share, and discuss these inspiring messages.

About the Speakers

President Brian K. Ashton

Presidente e irmã Ashton

Brian K. Ashton is the president of BYU-Pathway Worldwide and previously served as vice president of field operations. Receiving his bachelor’s degree from BYU and MBA degree from Harvard University, President Ashton has started several companies. He served as the Second Counselor in the Sunday School General Presidency from 2015–2019. He and his wife, Melinda, presided over the Texas Houston South Mission from 2012–2015 and are the parents of seven children.


Elder Pedro X. Larreal

Elder Pedro X. Larreal

Pedro X. Larreal was sustained as a General Authority Seventy in April 2025. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management and two master’s degrees in education science and business management. Elder Larreal has worked as a Seminaries and Institutes coordinator for the Church and held leadership positions with Nature’s Sunshine Products Inc. He and his wife, Sariah, presided over the Texas McAllen Mission and are the parents of three children.


Timothy Q. Sloan

Timothy Q. Sloan

Tim Sloan is the vice president of academics at Ensign College. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history/English and an MBA from BYU. Brother Sloan has senior-level experience in business, education, and international development. He’s launched resource centers worldwide and enjoys mentoring young adults in business and start-up endeavors. He and his wife, Cindy, are the parents of five children.


Elder Gary E. Stevenson

Élder Gary E. Stevenson

Elder Gary E. Stevenson was sustained as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in October 2015, following his service as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. Elder Stevenson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Utah State University and co-founded ICON Health & Fitness, where he served as president and COO. He and his wife, Lesa, presided over the Japan Nagoya Mission and are the parents of four children.
