9,897 Students to Complete Online Certificates and Degrees

Between July and December 2025, 9,897 students are anticipated to have completed an online certificate or degree from BYU-Idaho or Ensign College, supported by BYU-Pathway Worldwide. This reflects BYU-Pathway’s decision to move to a seven-week block schedule in 2025, allowing students to complete a bachelor's degree in three years.*

Among the students who completed online certificates and/or degrees are 9,303 PathwayConnect finishers. Of all awarded students, 1,550 earned a bachelor’s degree; 1,659 earned an associate degree; and 8,649 completed a certificate. These students represent 141 countries and 46 U.S. states.

Since 2009, 89,197 certificates and degrees have been earned through BYU-Pathway.

Commencement

BYU-Idaho held commencement services for graduates on Thursday, December 18, at 12:45 p.m. (MST/UTC-7), in the BYU-Idaho Center as well as a livestream . President Timothy L. Farnes, Young Men General President, was the guest speaker. Online graduates are invited to participate with this special event page .

Ensign College holds commencement services for graduates in April 2025.
