Thanks for your interest in BYU-Pathway Worldwide's communication internships and student employment! All positions are remote/hybrid. Applicants must reside in Utah or Idaho and be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who is currently temple worthy.
Part-time (20 hours/week) student employmees must be currently enrolled at a CES school. Internship positions are full-time (40 hours/week), last for 90–120 days, and can be completed up to a year after graduation. All positions are paid.

Communication Intern/ Student Employee
As a communication intern, you’ll apply expert writing skills as you assist the communication manager in sharing the inspiring story of one of the most unique and fastest-growing organizations in the Church. As a member of a professional communication department, you will get to collaborate with our messaging, digital marketing, and graphic design teams. You will gain meaningful experience applicable to the communication field and create quality content for your portfolio.
You’ll play a crucial role in helping BYU-Pathway Worldwide clearly and effectively communicate its offerings and mission to a diverse audience of more than 65,000 students from 180 countries. You will generate copy for a variety of communications, including student spotlights, news articles, websites, marketing emails, and help resources; conduct interviews; maintain an editorial calendar; and carry out other administrative tasks, as needed.

Marketing Specialist Student Employee
As the part-time messaging and marketing specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in helping BYU-Pathway clearly and effectively communicate with its diverse audience of more than 65,000 students from 180 countries, as well as service missionaries and employees.
You will write copy for, design, and send a variety of messaging (e.g. weekly updates, enrollment/registration reminders, text messages, surveys, and marketing campaigns); set up engaging customer journeys; prepare distribution lists; maintain a messaging calendar; monitor email analytics and nurture leads; and carry out other administrative tasks, as needed.
- Currently pursuing a degree in communication, digital marketing, business, web design and development, or another comparable field
- Proficient knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel and online office applications (Google Docs/Drive)
- Solid understanding of English grammar and ability to review engaging marketing copy
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Creative, analytical, tech-savvy, flexible

Website Content Intern

As a web content intern, you are willing to help ensure that the BYU-Pathway and EnglishConnect websites are accessible, usable, and accurate. The successful candidate will support the web content and communications manager in researching website trends as well as gathering, writing, editing, organizing, and posting web content in the form of text, photos, and videos. The internship is specifically designed for candidates with a strong interest in improving user experience in web content creation and/or communications.
- Under the direction of the web content and communications manager, work to update and add content to websites, investigate and identify errors, and build new web pages
- Utilize strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills to write and refresh content on multiple websites
- Work with other professionals such as the communications team, web developers, and operation managers to draft, review, and publish new web pages
- Learn and maintain brand and website standards
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Desire to learn basic web trends and best practices, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

Project Manager Intern/Student Employee
As a project manager at BYU-Pathway Worldwide you’ll be a part of a dynamic and energetic team. You’ll collaborate with messaging, digital marketing, and graphic design teams to carry out a wide range of communications projects to serve more than 65,000 students in 180 countries. As a project manager, you’ll have the unique experience of overseeing projects from start to finish, developing a sense for the whole scope of the organization.
- Work with a team to complete projects and tasks on schedule

Graphic Design Intern/Student Employee
Graphic design interns at BYU-Pathway Worldwide will develop their skills by working with senior creative staff on a range of design projects. The Intern will work with the communication team to help create assets that require a knowledge of core design skills such as conceptual development and working within a project scope. They will exercise their talents to help produce high-quality campaigns that will involve skills in typography, layout, branding, motion graphics and web design.
- Meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
- Work collaboratively with other designers, writers, content creators, etc.
- Communicate with senior creative staff, team members, and stakeholders to receive on the job training and constructive criticism.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
- After Effects and other Video Editing software
