Meet the Devotional Speakers from Winter 2021 Semester

BYU-Pathway Worldwide monthly devotionals complement the student experience by fostering greater faith and discipleship in Jesus Christ. Students across the world have been inspired by these uplifting messages.

This semester, devotionals featured the following speakers and General Authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:

Clark G. Gilbert

President of BYU-Pathway Worldwide
The Mismeasure of Man

Clark G. Gilbert is the president of BYU-Pathway Worldwide and serves as an Area Seventy for the Church. President Gilbert previously served as president of BYU-Idaho and as president and CEO of Deseret News and Deseret Digital Media. He earned a master’s degree in East Asian studies from Stanford University and a doctorate in business administration from Harvard University. President Gilbert and his wife, Christine, are the parents of eight children.

M. Russell Ballard

Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
You Are Important in the Lord’s Plan

President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, has been in full-time Church service for 44 years. During that time, he has served as president of the Canada Toronto Mission, and as a General Authority Seventy and apostle. President Ballard attended the University of Utah and had interests in automotive, real estate, and investment businesses. He and his wife, Barbara, raised seven children while making time for church and work responsibilities.

Marcos A. Aidukaitis

General Authority Seventy
Reaching the Desires of Our Hearts

Elder Marcos A. Aidukaitis was called as a General Authority Seventy in 2008. At the time of his call, he had been serving as president of the Brazil Brasilia Mission. Elder Aidukaitis received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University. Prior to his full-time Church service, he worked as an executive with multinational companies in Brazil and was also a partner in a business enterprise. He and his wife, Luisa, are the parents of five children.

Elaine S. Dalton

Former Young Women General President
Great Things Await You!

Elaine S. Dalton was called as the Young Women General President in 2008 after having previously served as Second Counselor and as First Counselor. Sister Dalton received a bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University. She loves to read, hike, and dance, and has completed 17 marathons. She and her husband, Stephen, have five sons, one daughter, and 16 grandchildren.
