3,892 Students to Complete Online Certificates and Degrees

At the conclusion of Spring Semester 2024 (Apr.–July), 3,892 students are anticipated to have completed an online certificate or degree from BYU-Idaho or Ensign College, supported by BYU-Pathway Worldwide.

Among the students who completed online certificates and/or degrees are 3,466 PathwayConnect completers. Of all awarded students, 781 earned a bachelor’s degree, 615 earned an associate degree, and 3,565 completed a certificate. These students represent 110 countries and 48 U.S. states.

Since 2009, 49,685 certificates and degrees have been earned through BYU-Pathway.

Commencement

BYU-Idaho will hold commencement services for graduates on July 25, at 12:45 p.m. (MDT/UTC-6), in the I-Center as well as a livestream . Sister J. Anette Dennis, First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, is the guest speaker. Online graduates can also participate with this special event page .

Ensign College hosts graduations on campus annually in April.

Graduate Spotlight: Wayne Herridge

Wayne , a 44-year-old from England, had never completed a college degree. He felt stuck and wanted to change the trajectory of his career. After returning to school through BYU-Pathway, it added value to his life, helped him build strong friendships, and advanced his career. Wayne is proudly graduating today with a bachelor’s degree in applied technology!

He said, “I wasn’t good at school before, but now I know I can work under pressure, meet deadlines, and complete different tasks at the same time. I have become resilient and determined.”
