Pathway Offerings to Complement Area Presidency Objectives

Pathway administrators traveled to the Philippines, Pacific, and Europe to increase program growth and effectiveness

Pathway administrators traveled to the Philippines, Pacific, and Europe Church areas in November and December to meet with Church Area Presidencies, launch PathwayConnect in new locations and present the program to local priesthood leaders.

In the Philippines and Pacific Church areas, meeting were held with area presidencies as part of Pathway’s new area plan initiative , which is aimed to assist Church leadership in achieving spiritual, temporal and educational objectives for their local members. As a result, meetings were also held with local businesses to collaborate on potential partnerships benefiting PathwayConnect students.

“Area leaders’ plans are specific about what they hope to see accomplished in their areas — with spiritual and temporal goals to improve the lives of their members,” explained Gene Hayes, Pathway’s international director. “We want Pathway’s efforts to align with the plans of other Church departments and initiatives by providing additional tools leaders can use to bless Church members’ lives.”

Hayes oversaw the launch of the program in four new locations, including two each in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) and Australia (Tuggerah and Narre Warren). Administrators also met with Church leaders in Norway, Sweden, Poland and Hungary to discuss the launch of the program later this year.

Pathway will continue collaborating with Area Presidencies, Self-reliance Services and local ward and stake leaders to provide better academic, professional and spiritual opportunities for Church members worldwide.
