Graduate Spotlight: Wei-Tzu Lee

Wei-Tzu Lee smiles as she stands outside, a snowy landscape behind her

What an academic journey I’ve experienced! As a 63-year-old widow, I never thought I could go back to school. During these three years, I have been working and studying, which is a heavy burden — especially when English isn’t my native language.

I sometimes felt I would not survive all those courses, but the BYU-Pathway devotionals always helped me at crucial times. The encouragement from all the instructors, graders, and mentors uplifted me to go the extra mile when I needed it. I felt God’s love through them, which guided and supported me in hanging on.

The knowledge I acquired from BYU-Pathway blessed my career. I apply all that I have learned to helping people in need. I always encourage people to take their academic journey with BYU-Pathway. It will help them to earn a higher education and successfully pursue a better life.
