When life feels uncertain, trust the Savior’s invitation to move forward with faith

Have you ever faced a big life decision and found yourself thinking, "What now?” Whether you’re deciding what to study, preparing for graduation, or contemplating the next step in your career, you’re not alone. Even Peter, one of Jesus Christ’s Apostles, faced this same question.
After Christ’s death and Resurrection, Peter didn’t immediately know what to do. So, he went back to something familiar — fishing. When faced with uncertainty, we often default to what’s comfortable. But as disciples of Jesus Christ, we are invited to “[put] off the natural man”
“Feed my sheep”
After His Resurrection, Jesus Christ appeared to Peter and asked three times, "Do you love me?" Each time, Peter affirmed his love, and Christ’s response was the same: “Feed my sheep.”As you keep going, you may wonder what the next step is to take in your education or career. Just like Peter, you may not receive immediate clarity, but the Lord is patient. As you seek Him, He will guide you as many times as necessary until you recognize the path He has prepared for you.
He is with you
Uncertainty can be overwhelming, but the Lord has promised, “Fear not, I am with thee.”
A life of service
Your education and career decisions are not just about securing your future; they are opportunities for growth and service.
Gendrone Sigauque, a student from Mozambique, shared, “My goal is to use the education I have received to make a difference in my community and empower others to achieve their potential. BYU-Pathway has prepared me not only for a successful career but also for a life of service, faith, and continual growth.”
As you seek to move forward with the education you have already received, your ability to bless and serve others will increase.
Move forward with faith
Peter didn’t have all the answers, but Christ didn’t want him to stay where he was. Instead, He invited Peter to do something greater. That same invitation extends to you today.
No matter where you are, Heavenly Father has a plan for you. He will guide you as often as needed until you see the path ahead. So, when you find yourself wondering, “What now?” — choose faith. Move forward, knowing Christ is walking with you.
