As we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost, we will find greater fulfillment in our lives.
The Holy Ghost can “enlighten [your] mind” 1 with answers and promptings. Not sure of what career path to choose? Need help remembering what you studied for a test? The Holy Ghost can guide you!The Lord promises that as you work to learn and understand as much as you can about the questions you have, the Holy Ghost will help inspire you. 2

2. The Holy Ghost will lead you to the Savior

As a member of the Godhead, the Holy Ghost testifies of truth and will help you become closer to God and Jesus Christ. When you make righteous choices that invite the Spirit into your life, you will also grow closer to the Savior. Having the Savior as your partner in your education will bring you strength and success, and you’ll also show Him your gratitude for the many blessings He offers you.

President Russell M. Nelson promised that “as you continue to be obedient, expressing gratitude for every blessing the Lord gives you, and as you patiently honor the Lord’s timetable, you will be given the knowledge and understanding you seek. Every blessing the Lord has for you—even miracles will follow. That is what personal revelation will do for you.” 4

The more you listen to and follow promptings, the easier it will be for you to recognize the still, small voice of the Spirit.

4. The Holy Ghost can give you comfort and peace

During challenging times, the Holy Ghost can offer comfort and give strength. President Henry B. Eyring said, “The Spirit will speak peace to your soul. He will urge you forward in faith. And He will bring back the memory of those times when you felt the light and the love of Jesus Christ.” 5

5. The Holy Ghost can motivate you

The Spirit can inspire you to accomplish your goals and dreams. When your motivation dwindles, the Holy Ghost can remind you of your passions and so you can accomplish your educational goals. The Holy Ghost “shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance.” 6

This reminder can spark greater motivation when you know Heavenly Father wants to teach you all things and that your education has an important purpose.

A lifelong blessing

Having the Holy Ghost can help you in every aspect of your life. This is why President Nelson said, "I plead with you to increase your spiritual capacity to receive revelation." 7
